Board Members of CAHC sits for a meeting to urgently provide relief to the Himalayan Communities
Climate Alliance for Himalayan Communities (CAHC) called a board meeting in order to discuss the additional steps in providing earthquake relief aid to the Himalayan communities. Held in HCI field office, on May 20, this meeting was attended by 15 board members of CAHC.
General Secretary of CAHC, Prashant Singh provided the opening remarks highlighting the objective of the meeting. The board members then thoroughly discussed and enlisted the districts where CAHC will be providing the relief and rehabilitation. Mainly, CAHC has planned to provide earthquake relief and rehabilitation to the Himalayan communities- Rasuwa (Langtang), Dhading (Sirtung), Gorkha (Chhaikampar), Sindupalchowk (Listi), Dolakha (Gaurishankhar) and Solukhumbu (Khumjung).
In order to make the relief and rehabilitation program more operative, a steering committee has also been formed including adviser Dr. Ganesh Gurung, Ang Tshering Sherpa, Dr. Hari Shrestha, Dr. Nima Namgal Sherpa, Ang Rita Sherpa and Prashant Singh.
